To mark MCD4D’s 10th anniversary, Suzie Heap is taking on the Parish Walk to raise funds and awareness for MCD4D. Every donation helps with the high costs of horse care, ensuring we can continue with our work.
MCD4D helped Suzie’s Granny Pat and Suzie told us “I decided I wanted to do something for this charity as not only do they do sessions for people with additional needs but they also help many more, such as my Granny Pat. When my Granny Pat was in her final weeks she talked about one of her favourite memories being a horse and carriage ride around Central Park. Whilst we couldn’t quite make the Central Park happen, the lovely volunteers at MCD4D let her join on a carriage ride around the even better sunny Santon. She talked about the lovely Teddy (one of their old ponies) and how grateful she was for the opportunity to go on another carriage ride until she couldn’t speak anymore. We as a family, couldn’t be more thankful to all of MCD4Ds amazing volunteers for going out of their way to make that happen for us.”
